Visit http://newworlds.cciu.org .
In the Login box, click on "Create new account."
Provide the requested information.
Use your real first and last name.
At the bottom of the form select change "Student" to "Educator" and click on "Create my new account."
Login to the site.
Click on PAIU NewWorlds.
In Educator Resources, view the Editing Your Appearance information.
View other information as time permits. Then under Main Menu, Educators, click on Go There Now.
Create your NewWorlds avatar using the token provided.
Access the Grid:
Launch Hippo Viewer from the desktop.
Set the Default Grid:
Edit, Preferences, Grids.
Click on Add.
Modify Login URL to read http://user.grid.newworlds.cciu.org:8002/
Click on Get Grid Info. Click on Apply.
Click on Default to set "paiu_newworlds" as the default grid.
Click on OK
Login to NewWorlds to confirm installation:
Type First Name.
Type Last Name.
Uncheck Remember Password.
Type your password.
Click on Login.
Modify your avatar's appearance.

You will need to "put on" a new body shape, skin, hair, and eyes so that your appearance changes. 1. Click on the Inventory button on the lower right. 2. Click the Create menu, then under New Body Parts, click New Shape. 3. Name the new shape when it appears, and double-click it to put it on. 3. Right click on your avatar and choose Appearance from the pie menu. Then, you can edit your body appearance with the window that opens, including switch between female and male. Notes: In order to modify an attribute such as hair, a shirt, or pants, we must first Create that item before we can modify its appearance. To avoid being ‘exposed’, be sure to wear a new shirt or pants before removing an article of clothing. It is also advised to dress in layers and to wear underwear. Click the Create menu again to make any new body parts or clothing you want (hair, eyes, shirt, pants, etc.). Double-click on the item in order to wear the item that was created.
